I am an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the division of Cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. I completed my medical school training at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India, followed by an Internal Medicine residency, cardiology fellowship, and master’s in clinical research at UT Southwestern Medical Center. My clinical interests include the prevention and management of heart failure (HF), and I am the Medical Director of the HF with Preserved Ejection Fraction program at UT Southwestern. On the research front, I run an NIH-funded independent research program that focuses on studying the epidemiology of HF using novel big-data approaches, using health services data to study care patterns and disparities in HF management, and evaluating novel implementation strategies to improve outcomes and reduce disparities among high-risk patients.
