Scott Reeder MD, PhD, is the Fred Lee Sr. Professor of Radiology, Vice Chair of Research and Chief of MRI at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

In addition to his clinical and administrative duties, Dr. Reeder is the Director of the UW Liver Imaging Research Group, an active NIH-funded group that develops and translates new imaging methods, particularly quantitative imaging biomarkers, to assess liver disease. Specific areas of research interests include development of new MRI methods for quantification of liver fat including the commercial implementation of proton density fat-fraction (PDFF), as well as liver iron and hemodynamics of portal hypertension.

Dr. Reeder is involved in many international societies, including the Society of Advanced Body Imaging (SABI) and International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM). He is past President of SABI and current ISMRM President. Dr. Reeder is also a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering.
