- Jeff McIntyre is Vice President of Liver Health Programs for the Global Liver Institute. As Vice President, Jeff supervises GLI’s diverse liver health portfolio - including fatty liver disease, liver cancer, pediatric and rare diseases, and GLI’s worldwide 'Liver Health is Public Health' campaign. Working with GLI Program Directors, Jeff identifies patient advocacy opportunities in all areas of patient and care pathways including drug development, regulatory input, biomarker development, and awareness and educational opportunities while addressing disparities in screening and treatment in the US and globally. As former Director of GLI NASH Programs, Jeff led the creation of patient, industry, and policymaker materials such as "The Language of NASH,” the "U.S. NASH Action Plan," yearly "NASH Scorecard," and multiple educational materials such as "NAFLD/NASH: Am I at Risk?" and "NAFLD/NASH: Have You Been Diagnosed?" - and directed the multi-stakeholder worldwide event, Global Fatty Liver Day (formerly International NASH Day). He has given invited testimony before U.S. Senate and House Committees, multiple federal agencies, and at the Global NASH Congress, EASL Liver Congress, AASLD Liver Meeting, Paris NASH, Tufts University Food Nutrition Innovation Council, and Biomarkers for NASH Symposium.
