Dr Jennifer Sargent is the Editor in Chief of Metabologia, the new Open Access journal of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. Metabologia publishes research addressing all aspects of metabolic disease, including diabetes, obesity, MASLD, renal and cardiovascular diseases. Spanning experimental, translational and clinical research, the journal focuses on wholistic care for individuals living with or at risk of metabolic diseases and their complications. Jennifer has over 10 years of editorial experience at internationally acclaimed medical journals, including having been a Senior Editor at The Lancet and Deputy Editor of Nature Medicine. Based in Helsingborg Sweden, she also leads Babelfisk, a consulting company that supports strategic research development focussing on health equity, precision medicine, noncommunicable diseases and climate and health, with a strong emphasis on translating health research into implementable policy.
