Jyothis George serves as the Chief Medical Officer of NodThera, driving the clinical acceleration of oral small molecules that quell chronic inflammation to reduce cardiovascular risk and to improve metabolic and brain health.

Jyothis leveraging decades of global leadership in cardiometabolic drug development and regulatory strategy. At Amgen, Jyothis served as General Medicine Therapeutic Area chair, overseeing research, development and delivery across CardioMetabolism, Bone, Neurology, and Nephrology with multiple blockbusters including Evolocumab (Repatha®). Jyothis served as Corporate Vice President, Novo Nordisk  and Global Head of Medicine at Boehringer Ingelheim leading empagliflozin (Jardiance®) clinical development.

Jyothis has pushed the boundaries to streamline cardiometabolic development, including pragmatizing the world’s first GLP-1 outcome trial, EMPA-KIDNEY trial and other major cardiovascular outcomes trials. Jyothis founded CardioMetabolic Health Foundation, to drive personalised preventive care, has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications. and serves as Visiting Professor of Cardiometabolic Medicine at the University of Oxford.
