Meena Jain

Meena Jain is Vice President of Clinical Development at Akero, overseeing the late-phase clinical development of Efruxifermin for the treatment of MASH. She brings over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience as a physician-scientist with expertise spanning multiple therapeutic areas and platforms. Prior to her tenure at Akero, Meena held various leadership positions at Spark Therapeutics, CSL Behring and MedImmune (now AstraZeneca), focusing on the development of diverse assets across a broad spectrum of indications, including metabolic disease and MASH. Meena holds Medical and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Cambridge, UK, and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). Before transitioning to industry, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).
