As a Healthcare Consultant and Professional Global Patient Activist, Patrick has received numerous accolades, such as the American Society of Nephrology President’s Medal and Celeste Castillo Lee Lectureship in 2022, and the National Kidney Foundation’s Celeste Castillo Lee Patient Engagement Award in 2025. He is the founder and chief executive of Hope Dealer for iAdvocate, Inc., a non-profit organization promoting health and wellness in underserved communities. He actively volunteers with organizations like the American Kidney Fund’s Board of Trustees and Ambassador, PATIENTS Professors Academy Alumni, Class of 2023, and is involved with the Steering Committee, KDIGO Diabetes Workgroup, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Guideline Development Group on COVID-19 and Therapeutics, among others.
Despite facing personal health challenges, including living with Diabetic Kidney Disease and undergoing multiple surgeries post-kidney transplant, Patrick’s resilience and determination shine brightly. His unwavering commitment to advocacy is encapsulated in his mantra, "I am the Voice for the Voiceless and the Face for the Faceless in the fight against kidney disease," showcasing his dedication to championing health equality for those whose voices are often unheard.
